Mastering Equations

We will be correcting our quizes today in class.  Next section is on proportions.
Big test on Friday over the entire chapter.

Equations

Equations will be our focus over the next week.  A test will be at the end of next week over chapter 3.
Progress reports went home yesterday.  Each week students work on questions similar to the one on the PLAN test.    Don't forget to check infinite campus.

Solving Equations

Tomorrow we will begin solving equations.  The test we took today will be given back on Thursday for corrections.

Distributive Property

We will be spending a couple more days on this property to ensure every student understands before moving on to another area.  I am available for extra help, you just have to ask.  Have a great weekend.

Great Class

We are moving along great.  Students are actively participation and asking great questions.  Hope this continues.  I've been stressing in class why homework is so important to Algebra.  Practice makes (almost) perfect.  We are starting Chapter 2 today after finishing selected sections from Chapter 1. 

And we're off........................

Today in class, I handed out syllabus and books.  Students are encouraged to have a TI-84 or TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculator.  This calculator can be updated and used throughout the remainder of their education.  I stressed to my students the importance of homework and gave them strategies to be successful in Algebra.
